A drive through Normandy to Bénouville to discover the famous Pegasus Bridge and the “Café Gondrée”, the first house to be liberated in France.
Then you continue along the coasts of Juno and Gold and arrive at Arromanches.
We suggest you then see the film “The price of Freedom” at the cinema Arromanches 360.
This exceptional 20-minute film on 9 screens in a circular room
combines library shots that have never been released and were taken in
June 1944 by war correspondents, with current shots taken in these same
places where peace has been restored.
xxxOn the way out, you will see the ruins of the artificial port (built
by the Allies in less than 15 days) and then visit the D-Day Museum built right on the port.
Lunch is served at the Ferme de la Rançonnière (13th century) in the village of Crépon.
In the afternoon a visit to the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer where 9386 soldiers are resting and where this year a great permanent exhibition is being launched.
The tour ends with a walk to the Pointe du Hoc, where the Rangers launched their famous heroic attack.
