Having discovered a part of the Tuileries gardens,
you then enter the museum where your guided visit is focused on 3
worldwide famous works: “the Venus de Milo”, “the Winged Victory”,
and“the Mona Lisa” painted by Leonardo da Vinci at the beginning of the
16th century.
Of course, you may use your ticket all day to visit on your own the remaining halls of the biggest museum in the world.
Your entrance ticket (included) also gives access to all the temporary
exhibitions (except Napoleon Hall) as well as the Eugène
Delacroix museum on the same day.
What to see in the Louvre?
• The Louvre museum, former palace
of the Kings of France, presents the Western works of art, from the
Middle Ages to 1848, and the antique civilizations that preceded and
infl uenced them. The collections are distributed as follows: Ancient
Egypt, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Etruscan art, Ancient Oriental
art, Islam art, Paintings, Sculptures, Art objects and Graphic arts.
There is also a section devoted to the history of the Louvre, with notably the medieval foundations and donjon.
